In Scripture, “Alpha and Omega” is one of the most divine titles used exclusively for God Himself — the beginning and the end of all things.
Revelation 1:8 (KJV):
“I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord… the Almighty.”
But surprisingly, this same divine title is directly applied to Jesus Christ, showing without question:
👉 Jesus is the eternal, uncreated God — the Almighty.

🔤 What Does “Alpha and Omega” Mean?
“Alpha” is the first letter of the Greek alphabet, and “Omega” is the last.
God is declaring:
“I am the A to Z — the source of all things, and the conclusion of all things. I exist before time and after time.”
No one else in heaven or earth can hold this title… except God.
✝️ Jesus Claims the Title for Himself
Revelation 22:12-13, 16 (KJV):
“Behold, I come quickly… I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last… I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches.”
✅ The speaker identifies Himself clearly as Jesus,
✅ And claims to be Alpha and Omega.
This is not poetic metaphor. It is Jesus declaring His divinity.
🌍 Jesus Is Before All Creation
Micah 5:2 (KJV):
“…whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.”
This prophecy, fulfilled in Christ’s birth at Bethlehem, shows that Jesus already existed eternally before He was ever born.
📖 Isaiah Prophesied the Same
Isaiah 44:6 (KJV):
“Thus saith the Lord the King of Israel, and his redeemer the Lord of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last…”
Jesus takes this exact title in:
Revelation 1:17-18 (KJV):
“Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore…”
🛑 Stop and think:
Only Jesus died and rose again — but only God is the First and the Last.
Jesus is both.
💡 Eternal, Not Created
Some claim Jesus was a created being — but the Bible teaches He existed before time and created all things (Colossians 1:16-17).
John 1:1–3 (KJV):
“In the beginning was the Word… and the Word was God… All things were made by Him.”
Jesus is not part of creation — He is the Creator.
🙌 Worship Him as the Everlasting God
Hebrews 13:8 (KJV):
“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.”
From Genesis to Revelation, Jesus stands as the eternal, unchanging God.
✅ Conclusion
Only one Being can say:
“I am the First and the Last… I am the Alpha and Omega.”
That Being is God.
Jesus claims it. Jesus proves it.
Jesus is the Eternal God — uncreated, unending, and unchanging.
