From Creator to Messiah: Jesus Fulfills Divine Prophecies

In the last point, we saw that Jesus is the Creator of all things — the One who made the heavens and the earth (Colossians 1:16, John 1:3). But God didn’t only reveal Himself in creation; He also revealed Himself through prophecy. The Old Testament contains hundreds of divine promises and predictions about a coming King, Savior, and Redeemer — and every single one finds its fulfillment in Jesus Christ.

Jesus – The Fulfillment of Prophecies of God

1. The Star and Sceptre – A Royal Prophecy

Numbers 24:17 (KJV):
“There shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel…”

This prophecy was given by Balaam, a non-Israelite prophet, under the inspiration of God. The Star symbolizes divine guidance and the Sceptre represents royal authority. It foretold the coming of a divine ruler from the lineage of Jacob — a King unlike any other.

Who fits this description? Jesus Christ.

  • He was born in the house of David (Luke 1:32).
  • He was worshiped as the King of the Jews (Matthew 2:1–2).
  • He is the Bright and Morning Star (Revelation 22:16).

2. The Child Who Is The Mighty God

Isaiah 9:6 (KJV):
“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given… and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”

This verse is not merely poetic. It is packed with divine truth:

  • The child born is not an ordinary human — He is called The Mighty God.
  • He is not a created being — He is The Everlasting Father.
  • These are names that belong only to Jehovah, yet they are applied to Jesus Christ.

This prophecy makes it crystal clear: the Messiah would not just represent God — He is God Himself in human flesh.

Why This Matters

These prophecies declare that:

  • Jesus didn’t become God — He always was God.
  • The God who spoke through prophets became the God who walked among men.
  • The Creator (Genesis 1:1) is the same King and Savior foretold from Genesis to Malachi.

Every messianic prophecy Jesus fulfilled — from His birth in Bethlehem (Micah 5:2) to His death and resurrection (Isaiah 53) — confirms that He is not just the Messiah, but God Almighty.
